In 2007 Scouting has changed the way programmes are presented to the youth.
The National Office prepares fully resourced programmes for each section (Keas, Cubs, Scouts, Venturers and Rovers) for each term and distributes them to all Scout Groups.
These programmes are also available on the Scouting New Zealand web site.
The aim is to help adult leaders deliver an enjoyable, balanced and progressive programme introducing new experiences and encouraging individual development and teamwork.
Leaders can plan ahead, gather resources and arrange expert help.
Parents are able to see the activities and learning that their young people will participate in and can be involved in supporting roles.
Each section is to work to the same theme.
